DSDCxSSC

The Digital Standards Development Council (DSDC) is proud to welcome the Scheduling Standards Consortium (SSC) into its Full Truckload (FTL) Council. Together, we’re unifying our expertise, tools, and working groups to create a comprehensive, open API roadmap that modernizes Full Truckload operations—starting with scheduling and expanding across the shipment lifecycle.

This is more than a partnership. It’s a strategic step forward toward a connected, digital freight ecosystem.

Our Mission

The mission of the DSDC is to drive adoption of open, scalable API standards across the Full Truckload industry—accelerating efficiency, improving collaboration, and creating shared value for shippers, carriers, 3PLs, and tech providers.

Our Vision

A freight industry where systems speak a common language, and every shipment moves with clarity, consistency, and speed.

One Council. One Vision. One Roadmap for FTL.

What's New

  • The SSC is now part of the Digital Standards Development Council (DSDC)™ Full Truckload Council;
  • The Scheduling Standards API continues under DSDC stewardship;
  • All SSC participants have been onboarded into the DSDC ecosystem; and
  • freightapis.org now redirects to dsdc.nmfta.org.

What's Staying the Same

  • The API remains open, accessible, and in use;
  • DSDC will continue engaging the same community of shippers, carriers, and integrators; and
  • The commitment to transparent, vendor-neutral collaboration remains unchanged.

One digital, connected freight ecosystem.

Why this Matters

By aligning the momentum of the SSC with the infrastructure of the DSDC, we're:

  • Maintaining continuity for scheduling stakeholders;
  • Scaling capabilities to include additional FTL API standards;
  • Reducing industry friction by consolidating efforts under one trusted body; and
  • Positioning DSDC as the unified force for FTL digitization.

What's Next

The integration of the Scheduling Standards API into the DSDC Full Truckload Council is now complete. As we move forward, the DSDC will continue building on SSC’s foundation by expanding the Full Truckload API roadmap, hosting working group sessions, and engaging stakeholders to shape future standards. Stay tuned for upcoming opportunities to contribute, collaborate, and innovate.

About the Scheduling Standards API

Originally developed by the SSC, the Scheduling Standards API allows shippers, carriers, and TMS providers to standardize the scheduling process and reduce inefficiencies.

Now part of the DSDC’s growing API suite, it continues to serve as a critical foundation for digitizing FTL operations.
